Resident Artist Introduction:
Co-Artistic Director Paul Dean and I are absolutely delighted to be bringing Ensemble Q to perform with new friends and old at the Hume Chamber Music Festival in September 2021. My wonderful friend and Artistic Director of the Hume Conservatorium, Paul Scott Williams has been dreaming about creating a landmark classical music event for the Hume region for quite some time, and I am so delighted to be able to help bring his vision to life in September. This festival has all the hallmarks of a great festival - beautiful location, wonderful venues, invested community and a world class creative and managerial team. As Ensemble in Residence at the festival, we are excited to be bringing you a chocolate box program of some of our favourite music, played by several of our core members in collaboration with internationally renowned harpist extraordinaire Alice Giles, Ensemble Francaix, and one of our most special guest singers who is coming all the way from the UK, Lotte Betts-Dean. We are so happy that some of the brilliant staff musicians at Hume Conservatorium have agreed to perform with us in works such as the infamous Schubert String Quintet and Saint Saens' Carnival of the Animals. I look forward to meeting you all at this very special festival.
